Julia Murat "Pendular receives the FIPRESCI award in the Panorama section for its outstanding visual quality and its narrative force that results in an accurate portrait of two contemporary artists. The expression of the modern and bold choreography of human relations in the story connects perfectly with the aesthetic and dramatic originality of the film."
Hamed Rajabi "Our award goes to a film that speaks in a very subtle and nuanced way about depression, rebellion and psychological diseases. Though set in a specific country, the film is able to present how social and family relationships work in general terms. Of special note is the complex cinematic language and especially how long takes are used in a very fine way to shape the subject. The Prize for the best film in Panorama goes to Paridan az Ertefa Kam (A Minor Leap Down) by Hamed Rajabi."
Christian Petzold For its precise and observant focus and the expression of the inner monolgue and emotions of the guilt-widden characters and its beautiful photography.
Shinji Sōmai For the originality with which it explores the familiar territory of the domestic drama and the consistent excellence of its performances.
