Can Yaman

Turkish actor, model, and lawyer Can Yaman is a well-known figure in the entertainment industry. Originally from Suadiye, Istanbul, he was born on November 7, 1989. He is the only child of his parents. His family roots can be traced back to Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Switzerland, even though he and his parents were born in Turkey. 

A financial struggle caused Can's parents to entrust his care to his grandparents from an early age. His parents parted ways when he was just a small child. After completing his middle school studies at Bilfen Kolej, he continued his education at the Liceo Italiano di Istanbul, where he was recognized as the ‘best student.’ Following his graduation from Yeditepe University's Law Department in 2012, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Yaman is a multi-lingual and is fluent in Turkish, Italian, English, German, and Spanish. During his university studies, Can Yaman began taking Gyuneyt Sayil's acting classes. At that time, he considered acting to be just a hobby, as he was planning to be a professional lawyer.

He significantly improved his articulation and diction during the six months course, and by the end, he could confidently speak in court. The acquired skills later aided him in his acting career as well. Although he was successful in the corporate law sector, he realized that corporate life wasn't for him. He starred alongside Selma Ergec and Sinem Kobal in his debut series, "Affairs of the Heart" (2014), as Bedir.

After this project, Can played the title role in a TV series called "Love out of spite,” which was well-received by the audience. At the same time Can Yaman grew close to Acelya Topaloglu, who played the role of Defne in the series "Love out of spite". However, the couple broke up within a short period. He later had a short-term relationship with Bestemsu Zdemir. Both dated for around eight months and broke up in December 2017. In 2020, he started dating Italian TV presenter Dilleta Leotta, but that too did not last long. The couple broke up within a few months. He is currently believed to be dating Maria Adamo.

In his acting career, Can Yaman has appeared in many TV series, shows, and movies like "Erekenci Kus", "Dolunay", "Indiana Ask", "Bay Yanlis". However, it was not until 2017 that he got his first major break in the form of the series "Dolunay". He later worked as a lead in the television series "Erkenci Kuş".

Mostly working on Turkish-language TV shows and series, Yaman is a highly qualified and talented actor. Among his most notable roles was his role as Can Divit for the Turkish television series "Erkenci Kus", in which he appeared alongside actress Demet Zdemir. 

For his outstanding performance in the series, Can Yaman received the Golden Butterfly Award in 2018. Moreover, he also received an international PRODU2020 nomination for his portrayal in "Mr. Wrong". 

He recently completed his upcoming project "El Turco", in which he will be playing the lead character.
