After her husband's betrayal, Olga files for divorce and leaves for her hometown to live with her mother and sister Masha. In Kuvshinsk, Olga meets Oleg, a policeman who is searching for a serial maniac. Feelings arise between the young people, but Olga's husband comes to the city trying to win her back.
