The protagonist of the horror series "The Last of Us" is Joel, one of the few survivors in the quarantine zone of America after a terrible virus. The pandemic claimed millions of lives and wiped out the familiar world as we know it. Having lost his family and friends, Joel has adapted to the new reality and become a smuggler. He illegally transports passengers and cargo between inhabited settlements and abandoned infected cities. One day, he is tasked with smuggling out a 14-year-old girl named Ellie from the quarantine zone.
