The action of the Russian dramatic series "Anna K" takes place in modern-day Russia. The events unfold in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the bleak Russian countryside. Anna Karenina is married to the future governor of the Northern capital. She attends high society parties and leads a frivolous life. But everything changes when the heroine unexpectedly falls in love with Vronsky, the son of a major corporation owner. Their relationship becomes a serious threat to Anna's fragile marriage.
