The Russian series "Smychok" revolves around Senya, a young and highly talented musician who dreams of becoming a great violinist. The boy is obsessed with classical music, which earns him the nickname "Smychok" (meaning "Bow" in English). Senya leaves his hometown of Pyatigorsk and heads to St. Petersburg to pursue an education at the conservatory. He plans to dedicate several years to serving the arts, but fate has other plans. At the St. Petersburg train station, someone throws a packet of drugs at Senya, forcing him to work as a drug courier.
