The Russian drama series "The Last Axel" tells the story of figure skater Katerina, who unexpectedly becomes an orphan. Her father was very harsh with her and her younger sister. After burying him, Katerina goes to Moscow to join a figure skating team. She knows she will have to deal with an equally despotic coach. But the girl is determined to participate in the World Championship and win a grant. This reward will allow her to achieve absolute freedom for herself and her sister.
