"The King's Affection" is a Korean drama series that tells the story of a royal concubine who gives birth to twins, which is considered a bad omen. The king orders the newborn girl to be destroyed, but the mother cannot bear this and secretly raises her for many years. When the boy dies from a serious illness, she replaces him with her daughter - now disguised as a man - who enters the palace. She fears people and strives to keep her secret hidden.
