The events of the Russian dramatic mini-series "The Decembrist Woman" unfold in the 1950s. Single mother Zina is planning to marry successful lawyer Alexei Levitsky. However, there is an adversary in the form of prosecutor Gromov who wants to get rid of the talented lawyer who often stands in his way, as well as win over his chosen woman. To achieve this, Gromov writes a denunciation, depriving his rival of his career and beloved woman. Alexei is sent to the Irkutsk region. Zinaida, leaving everything behind, follows him.
