"The Son of Good Fortune" is a thrilling comedy series about the adventures of a Filipino teenage illegal immigrant in America. Excel lives with his mother Maxim and her elderly martial arts trainer in sunny San Francisco. He tries to be a regular American guy, but it's not easy for him. In the past, Maxim was a B-movie star, but now she's going through a midlife crisis. On top of that, she tells her son that they don't have permission to stay in the country. Excel decides to embark on a journey to find himself.
