The TV series "In Happiness and in Misfortune" is a detective melodrama about the search for a missing girl named Yulia. She disappeared several years ago, and on the anniversary of the tragedy, her older sister Anna comes to their hometown to support their parents. They still believe that their daughter will return, so they continue to see signs and traces everywhere. One day, the mother sees Yulia in a news report - among the people rescued from forced labor. The girl is returned to the family, but Anna doesn't recognize her as her sister. She decides to expose this mysterious impostor.
