The events of the Russian crime series "Survive at Any Cost" unfold in a small taiga town where crime thrives, fueled by the local illegal gold mine. The process is led by a local entrepreneur, Motyl, along with his accomplice, Stepa. Stepa has long dreamed of undermining his boss. The precious metal from their mine is being sent abroad. Eventually, representatives of the special services become aware of this. They set off into the taiga.
