The Russian detective series "Quiet Waters" tells the story of Kira Ustyanova, a professional psychiatrist consultant. She used to work in the police force, but now only occasionally helps her former colleagues in particularly complex investigations, creating psychological profiles of suspects and helping to "break the ice" with them. One day, while swimming in a city pool, Kira accidentally finds herself in the midst of a terrifying crime.
