The American drama mini-series "All the Light We Cannot See" is based on the eponymous best-selling novel by Anthony Doerr, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 2015. The story takes place during World War II. A blind girl named Marie-Laure lives in France at a time when the capital is occupied by the Nazis. Her father, Daniel Leblanc, works as a locksmith at the Museum of Natural History in Paris. He wants to provide his daughter with as much independence as possible while also protecting her from danger.
