The Russian crime melodrama series "Birth Certificate" tells the story of Olga, a museum employee who has lived her whole life in a small town. It has been 4 years since her daughter Yulia disappeared. The girl was only one year old at the time. Olga's husband Igor was unable to overcome his depression and started an affair. Olga immersed herself in her work. When she learns that the police are planning to close the case of Yulia's disappearance, Igor suggests they should move on and have another child. But Olga is firmly convinced that her daughter is alive.
