"Letters from the Past" is a Russian melodramatic series about the connection between time and generations. Young girl Maria Burova is grieving the death of her mother. Love, friends, work, and even her favorite hobby of car racing bring her no joy. Her uncle Viktor convinces her to move to Moscow from their small town. In his apartment, Marusya accidentally discovers old papers that belonged to her late mother. Among them are letters she wrote to Marusya's father. The girl decides to find her dad.
