The TV series "Frenchmen near Moscow" is a Russian comedy about two branches of the same family tree, raised in different cultures. The deeply Russian Petrikovs and the "Frenchified" Petrikoff-Lucien meet under very strange circumstances. Their wealthy common relative leaves them an inheritance - a house and estate in a prestigious village. Now, this motley family is forced to live under one roof. Some relatives will have to improve their manners, while others will have to come down from the clouds to earth.
