At the center of the historical drama series "Passaporte para Liberdade" is a young woman named Arasi de Carvalho, who works at the Brazilian consulate. For the past 2 years, she has been secretly issuing documents to Jews without the "J" stamp, which not only deprives them of the opportunity to leave the country but also increases the risk of ending up in concentration camps. Soon, a diplomat named João Guimarães Rosa arrives at the consulate, who will later become the greatest Brazilian writer of the 20th century. Arasi falls madly in love with him.
