The TV series "Urban Cowboy" is based on the plot of the eponymous feature film. The story takes place in the 80s. The main character of the original film, Bud Davis, finds himself at the center of events as he leaves the farm where he spent his early years and moves to the big Texas city of Houston. The original film focuses on the relationship between Bud and his girlfriend Sissy. The characters meet in a honky-tonk bar where Bud relaxes after a day of work. The multi-episode project will feature iconic music from the 80s.
