The protagonist of the Russian melodramatic series "The Cruel World of Men" is Kira Arefyeva, a talented young financier. She has a deep understanding of her field and is respected by her colleagues. However, one day Kira's intuition fails her, and she becomes the victim of a cruel scam. Leading a fake financial organization, she loses her job and all prospects in her profession.
