"Under the Banner of Heaven" is an American crime drama mini-series that tells the story of a devout detective. The religious beliefs of the protagonist are put to the test when he is faced with a brutal murder that he must investigate. Two men have killed the wife and young daughter of their younger brother. The criminals claim to have acted on the orders of the Almighty. Both of them were members of the sect "School of Prophets," which adheres to classical religious doctrines.
