"Bird in a Cage" is a Russian melodramatic series about a modern-day "princess" who has had no luck with her "prince." Alena is a young, beautiful, and modest girl, raised on tales of eternal love, loyalty, and kindness. When she meets Anton, she has no doubts: he is the long-awaited hero of her romance. However, after their wedding, the man reveals his true colors. Alena has to escape from her domestic tyrant and fight for her own child.
