At a very young age, Steven was kidnapped by a pedophile. The man kept the boy captive in his own home and subjected him to frequent acts of violence. The villain managed to convince his victim that his parents had abandoned him and that he was now his legal guardian. Steven even attended school under a different name. When he grew too old for his tormentor's desires, the man began searching for a replacement.
