Jung Gi-hun is an archaeologist who has always been fascinated by mysticism. One day, a mysterious incident completely changes his life. The protagonist starts publishing a magazine about occultism and creates a themed channel on YouTube. Because of his ex-wife, Lee Su-jin, he travels to the Jingyan district to investigate the phenomenon of a Buddhist statue that is rumored to be possessed by evil forces. Lee Su-jin specializes in deciphering symbols. After the death of their only child, she moved to Jingyan, where this mysterious story begins.
