The protagonist of the series "A Turn to Happiness" is school teacher Nina Belova. She is carrying a baby, but she suffers a miscarriage as a result of a terrible accident. The culprit of the car crash turns out to be the famous actress Ulyana Kovalyova, who manages to avoid punishment. Soon, by twist of fate, Ulyana's daughter ends up in Nina's class. Because of the cruel and spoiled schoolgirl, Nina not only loses her job but also faces more hardships. However, unexpectedly, Dmitry Kovalyov, the father of the unfortunate family, starts showing signs of interest in Nina.
