The series is based on the bestseller by Georgia Hunter, "The Day We Were Happy." It revolves around a Jewish family separated at the beginning of World War I. Years later, they decide to reunite. The stories of three generations of the Kurz family all stem from a single starting point and continue in different corners of the planet. Each one dealt with the monstrous horrors of war in their own way. However, the characters forever hold the memory of their loved ones in their hearts.
