Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal (1999 - 1999)

"Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan: Tsuioku Hen" is a Japanese animated mini-series that tells the story set in 19th century Japan. The country is torn apart by two powerful clans. Kenshin, sold into slavery at a young age, finds himself in the hands of villains along with other kidnapped children. Witnessing the murder of the other children, Kenshin is saved by a warrior who happened to be nearby. He becomes Kenshin's mentor, and soon Kenshin transforms into a skilled swordsman known as Kenshin.
