Every detective is pursued by at least one cunning and elusive criminal who escaped because the justice system failed. Billy Graves, once a rising star in his department and a former member of a team called "The Wild Geese," leaves the Homicide Division of the New York Police Department and joins the Night Watch unit. But his past catches up with him in the form of an old case that could put an end to Billy Graves' career in law enforcement.
