This detective-drama story takes place in the mid-1940s. In the Soviet Union, there is a criminal group that leaves images of their victims at the crime scenes. Because of this detail, they have earned the nickname "Dead Head," and the leader of the gang is known as the Artist. Determined Soviet operatives, led by Major Efimov and Captain Sazonov, are determined to find the members of the group and hold them accountable.
