Sergei Baryshev discovers that he has inherited a house in the small town of Polunino. Olga, along with her friend Nadezhda and their young children, decide to go there to relax after completing a major project ("Sunny Wind" won a big tender) and also to deal with the paperwork for the inheritance. Their neighbor turns out to be a local police officer named Anokhin, who is a childhood friend of Baryshev. Suddenly, Olga learns that Anokhin, who seemed nice at first, constantly beats his wife Nina. Olga cannot ignore this situation.
