This is the story of a psychiatrist named Suzanne Mathis who helps a mysterious girl named May, who has escaped from a cult. The life of the main character is turned upside down when the arrival of this girl threatens to harm her family. Fifteen-year-old Julie Mathis comes home from school and discovers an unfamiliar girl sitting in the kitchen.
