The series "Cien años de soledad" is the first full-scale adaptation of the central work of Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez in the history of cinema. The story revolves around several generations of the Buendia family who live in the town of Macondo. The story spans a century in which numerous descendants of the family fall in love, get married, build businesses, go bankrupt, grow old, die, and are replaced by new heirs.
