A small provincial town is shaken by a series of bloody murders. A serial killer brutally targets intoxicated women who return home late from parties. Investigator Nikolay Gorobets from the Prosecutor General's Office is sent to investigate, but the local prosecutor is not pleased to have a Moscow colleague involved.
