The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House (2023 - …)

Kie and her childhood friend, Sumire, travel from their hometown of Aomori to Kyoto to become maiko - apprentices to real geishas. However, due to her bad temper and lack of any talents, Kie fails the selection process and instead starts cooking for the girls at the maiko house. Meanwhile, Sumire works diligently to earn the status of the top student. Both heroines face numerous challenges along the way that they must overcome.
