This is a story about the hardships of a once large and close-knit family. The Gromovs are an average Soviet family. Spouses Fyodor and Marina are busy raising their four children. They try to solve any life troubles together, as they are used to supporting each other no matter what. But suddenly, a huge tragedy befalls the heroes.
