The series "The Last Battle of Major Pugachev" is a war drama about a Soviet soldier who ends up in a German concentration camp. The events take place in 1944. Major Pugachev awaits certain death in one of the fascist death camps. But he is given a "second chance" - General Vlasov, who betrayed the USSR, offers him to switch sides and join the "National Liberation Army". Pugachev responds with a firm refusal, choosing his honor and loyalty over such a life. However, the Soviet "elite" does not appreciate such self-sacrifice...
