Lyudmila lives in a small village and works as a postwoman... and a local matchmaker. Driving around the neighboring villages in her postal van, Lyudmila looks for suitable grooms for her friends and acquaintances. Thanks to Lyudmila's efforts, weddings are happening one after another in the village. However, Lyudmila herself is still single. Farmer Ivan is in love with Lyudmila, but she cannot reciprocate his feelings because she has remained faithful to her deceased fiancé for several years. Ivan doesn't lose hope of winning Lyudmila's affection.
