"The Magic Lantern" is a Russian animated series for the youngest viewers. Katya is a seven-year-old girl who loves to read. She has a restless five-year-old younger brother who is difficult to keep interested in anything for long. But Katya always manages to do so, because she has a supply of stories from world classics for any occasion! The girl tells her brother, and also the viewers, the plots of the most famous works by Jules Verne, Conan Doyle, Daniel Defoe, Alexandre Dumas, and other famous writers, simplified and adapted for children.
