"The Island of Lost Ships" is a Soviet musical mini-series from 1987 based on the novel of the same name by Alexander Belyaev. Volodya, an ordinary guy from Leningrad, gets into a fight with his wife and in a fit of anger, runs out of the house... only to unexpectedly find himself not in his own yard, but in Marseille in 1928, in the body of the wanted criminal Reginald. He is immediately caught by the police officer Jimmy and put on a ship bound for America, where he is to be executed. However, the ship gets caught in a storm and is shipwrecked...
