Director Klim Shipenko embarked on bringing to life a crazy idea: shooting a film in outer space. Many talented girls auditioned for the role of the main heroine, but only twenty lucky ones were given the opportunity to show what they are capable of. Actresses and athletes embarked on grueling training at a center where real cosmonauts are prepared for space flight. The documentary series "Challenge. The First in Space" will tell the story of the selection process for one of the most ambitious projects in Russian cinema.
