This is the story of how resourceful Zinaida decided to evict her elderly neighbors from the communal apartment. Sweet old ladies Darya Mikhailovna and Maria Ivanovna were friends with the senior resident of the building, Vasily Adamovich. Zinaida had a lover, Kolya Budko, who practically left her at the altar to marry his boss's daughter. As a memento, he left her a little dog that Zina didn't like. And the old ladies she had to share the apartment with were getting on her nerves...
