Chobits (2002 - 2002)

Hideki Motosuwa arrived in the Japanese capital to submit documents to a prestigious university. The young man was shocked by the latest word in technology - "persocoms" - intelligent human assistants. These devices are indistinguishable from humans in appearance. After some time, an amazing event occurs: Hideki discovers a discarded persocom on a garbage dump... someone's abandoned companion. And so, Hideki gains a charming and, most importantly, devoted girlfriend who would cost him a fortune.
