Vodovorot chuzhih zhelanij (2012 - 2013)

The TV series "Vodovorot chuzhih zhelanij" is a Russian detective action film about a bloody battle for a mythical artifact. Renowned historian Alexander Veniaminovich Schmidt turns to private detectives Makar and Sergei with a seemingly ordinary request. He wants the detectives to find a rare wooden statue of a mermaid for him. This task seems like the whim of an avid collector until the heroes discover that the figurine, supposedly granting wishes, is accompanied by a long chain of unsolved murders.
