This is the story of how a secret stash - unjust gold treasures buried many years ago by the grandfather of former officer Stepa Zatsepin - once again intrudes into the peaceful lives of his comrade-in-arms Sergey Gushchin, his family, and the residents of a remote Siberian village called Kerzhantsy.
