The events take place in Moscow. Denis Viktorovich lives on Karetny Val, where his grandson Denis, named after his grandfather, comes to visit. Every day, the boy listens to stories from his grandfather's childhood, who lived in a completely different era. The grandfather's stories serve as portals to his Soviet childhood. The stories come to life, and the 6-year-old grandson is transported into the past. Throughout all times, children share many similar traits - curiosity, spontaneity, a great love and interest in understanding the world around them.
