Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron (1993 - 1995)

The heroes of the adventure animated series "Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron" are Chance Furlong and Jake Clawson, two tailed and mustached special forces operatives who were expelled from their militarized group in Megakat City. While pursuing the villain Dark Kat, the partners accidentally crash their plane right into their own base, leading Commander Feral to suspend them from duty. Using salvaged wreckage, the guys assemble the TurboKat, a jet fighter, and use it to continue their mission independently, no longer under the control of their superiors.
