The Demon King has been defeated, and the victorious team of heroes rushes home triumphantly before saying their goodbyes. The quartet - the sorceress Frieren, the hero Himmel, the priest Hater, and the warrior Eisen - indulge in memories of their 10-year journey. It's not easy for them to part ways. But time flows differently for elves than it does for humans, so Frieren watches as her companions disappear one by one. However, before his demise, Hater manages to arrange for Frieren to take on a young boy named Fern as her disciple.
