Several years have passed since a young artist named Shen Yi caused the death of a law enforcement officer. The young man had painted a portrait of the man who later became the target of criminals. Shen Yi wants to make amends, so he leaves the Academy of Fine Arts and becomes a portraitist at the Beijing Public Security Bureau. However, he is not warmly welcomed there. He will be working in tandem with Captain Du Chen.
