The plot tells the story of the everyday life of the "killer" department of the Petrovskoye Police Department in St. Petersburg. The "Fabulous Five" refers to the number of employees: Major Pavel Shaposhnikov, Captains Dmitry Krasavchenko and Timur Bubnov, Senior Lieutenant Anton Vetrov, and Lieutenant Vladimir Kuzmin. These five individuals, with their different personalities, are united by their commander, Colonel Andrey Golovanov, a man with a good sense of humor and a rich past. He still remembers the days when the streets of St. Petersburg were filled with broken streetlights.
Times have changed: the police have replaced the militia, and the city has transformed, but human passions still run high. Revenge, envy, fear, and lust drive some to commit crimes, while honor, conscience, justice, and courage compel others to stand against evil. The heroes of the "Fabulous Five" punish evil on a daily basis. Surprisingly, amidst this routine, they still find time for love, friendship, and humor.
