The tragic fall divided the life of circus gymnast Veronica Savoyskaya into "before" and "after". In the past, she had a stellar career, a beloved husband, and a long-awaited pregnancy. Now, she is in a wheelchair, filled with despair and loneliness. Finding herself at rock bottom, Veronica tries to find the strength to rebuild her life: to learn to walk again and return to her profession. Her encounter with the legendary gymnast Leonid Piylatov, who once lifted himself out of a wheelchair, fills her with confidence that she can shine under the dome once again. Leonid becomes her partner on this journey, and eventually her husband.
